Secrets
Nordic Larp? & What is 'high immersion'?
Nordic-style LARP emphasizes thematic coherence, continuous illusion, action & immersion,
while keeping the LARP co-creative [J. Stenros et al. 2017].
We define immersion as the subjective experience of play: Do I feel like I am part of this world?
We define simulation as the physical representation of the game world: Are narrative outcomes dependent on real life skills?
We want to maximize immersion, at a defined level of simulation.
This means it should subjectively feel real with minimal 'theatre of the mind', and not be barred from participating in narrative due to ableism. If you act it, we will react to it.
Our principles of immersion
Where possible, every conversation is in-game.
There are no NPCs: Everyone has the same stakes.
What You See Is What You Get! If it looks the part, it is the part.
Always react. [Sammy Stone]
The Tross-keepers are happy to discuss accommodating special needs or disabilities to players who want to experience the Tross! Feel free to speak to us at any time before or during the game.

We do not enforce clothing & garb standards for joining the Tross team, or playing in the Tross space.

In-game tavern neutrality
The tavern is an unprotected space, open to all characters.
The tavern space is designed for conflict narrative. We will not afford any individual protection, even to our own characters. If bandits raid, trolls attack or a red wedding showers the floor in blood...
The Tross will do what it must, in order to survive.
Common questions
Do you provide cups? No, please bring your own cups!
What about bar fights? Yes please. The more the merrier!
I play a non-human, can I come? Sure!
Can I leave my gear at the Tavern? No. In fact, we will confiscate it in-game and sell it back to you.
Can I use the kitchen? Yes, but only if you follow our rules and speak to a Trosskeeper.
Can I buy alcohol at the bar? We strictly adhere to the rules of each Dammerung event.
Can I bring my own personal bodyguards? Absolutely.
Can I draw weapons in the tavern? Yes. We don't have out-game weapons restrictions. However, we will move larger scale armed scuffles to the market place and courtyard.
My character was injured in-game in the tross, can my character demand compensation? You can try, and will fail.
I have a quest / plot / narrative that I want to have happen at the Tross. Can I plan that with you? Absolutely!
There is a real life medical emergency, can the Tross help? Yes, we will provide assistance where we can.

We are looking for experienced roleplayers to join the team! If you are interested in nordic-style LARP and developing game design skills, please contact the Tross team at facebook Dammerung.
What's expected of a Trosskeeper?
Once you join the team, you create a character that fits any of the Dammerung factions.
We encourage you to build faction relationships, engage in faction plots and have personal stories.
The core tenet, is that the Tross belongs to all Trosskeepers. You own this space!
Any time you wish to spend managing the Tross, the bar or helping with any of our Trosskeeper projects is appreciated.
Most importantly, your fun comes first. Team members do not have 'schedules' or need to clock in.
Trosskeepers come and go as they please.
